We’re here to help you determine if HubSpot could be the best fit for your individual business needs.

How to generate marketing leads, The Marketing GP

Here are the marketing tools we see as game changers to businesses.

HubSpot email marketing tools

There is a myriad of email marketing tools available, each one providing their own features and benefits. Many of these also boast connection to a customer relationship management (CRM) system. But not all are created equal, as we discussed in our blog HubSpot vs MailChimp.

HubSpot’s email marketing tool allows you to create visually appealing emails, without the need to be a software expert, thanks to the handy ‘drag and drop’ editor. You know that old saying that everyone is an artist? Well everyone can be an EDM expert thanks to HubSpot’s simply user interface.

These emails can be constructed to be sent either manually to a list of contacts or automatically based on a trigger.

Email distribution can be based on a highly specific criteria made up of either the contact or company data (eg: location, customer type, industry, relevant service). Automated distribution can also be based on actions that person has taken, such as:

  • Website form submissions
  • Recent website visits
  • Specific website pages visited
  • Recent marketing or sales email opened (or unopened)
  • Specific links clicked in a marketing email

HubSpot’s email marketing tool and audience-building options are endless, making it easier than ever to pinpoint a group of contacts, and communicate with them in a meaningful and targeted way.

Sounds fancy, but what does this mean for you and your customers?

This really goes to the heart of inbound marketing. The time of sending a mass email to all contacts in your database (and hoping you’ve included a wide enough selection of information to grab their attention with at least one item) ends here. You can create and distribute content that speaks directly to the individual based on their persona and interests. Personalisation and targeted content is key to results. HubSpot hands you that power on a silver platter..

HubSpot social media scheduling tool

Are you tired of having to post content across several platforms, at different times, and pull analytics from each?

By now you’ve probably been introduced to one of the many social media scheduling tools on the market – each with their own benefits.

HubSpot’s social scheduling tool allows you to create and schedule posts across each of your connected accounts and respond to all messages directly from the portal.

Say goodbye to the mundane task of logging into separate accounts and platforms.

Your posts can also be linked to campaigns for easy tracking and reporting. More on that later.

The social media performance dashboard presents all relevant data in the one place, meaning there’s no need to waste time reviewing and compiling reach, engagement, clicks etc from multiple sources. Freeing up time to actually engage with your audience!

HubSpot Marketing Campaigns

By utilising HubSpot’s campaign tools, it is easy to group all relevant campaign assets (such as blogs, landing pages, social media posts etc) in one place. Allowing you to track specific engagements and conversions from each individual marketing asset – cool right?

The campaign analytics tool provides a variety of out-of-the-box and custom reports which enable you to track campaign progress and ROI in real time.

Having a dedicated comprehensive marketing analytics tool also takes the time and pain out of pulling together data from multiple sources. In fact, this is one of the most popular features amongst our clients, allowing them to streamline end of month reporting.

HubSpot’s reporting dashboard tool also provides the opportunity to create customised marketing reports. You can also set up an automated email export of all relevant reports in a handy PDF or PPT format – perfect for keeping stakeholders informed!

HubSpot forms

Do you have contact forms on your website? Where does the information go? Into a CRM? An email inbox? How do you know if the enquiry has been responded to? Do you then have to manually add them to email marketing lists?

HubSpot’s free online form builder is a user-friendly tool that enables you to create customised forms which link directly from your website to the HubSpot CRM – meaning all data is stored in a central database.

From there, contacts can be automatically added to segmentation lists (eg: by location, services required, customer type) which are then ready for use in email marketing and sales.

If leads are important to your business (and we’ve no doubt they are) you will love this tool.

Website integration

Many businesses use Google Analytics to track website visits and monitor traffics sources. However, the data provided using this tool is anonymous. You can view how many people visit, but not who they are.

By connecting HubSpot to your website, you can take this data to the next level – as you are granted access to see both the totals and then a detailed breakdown of the specific activity of all contacts within your HubSpot database.

What does this look like in real life?

Business owner, Sam, visits your website one evening, looking for support with his BAS lodgement. He views your services page, and likes what he sees. But he wants more information about taxation specifically.

Rather than wait until business hours when he is flat out (and will likely forget to call!) he fills in the contact us form on the page, and selects ‘taxation’ from the list of services.
Your business development team receives an email notifying them of the enquiry, and a link to view all Sam’s information and website activity on his contact profile in HubSpot.

From here, they can quickly review which pages he has visited (and for how long), which links he has clicked and how often he has visited the site. This provides valuable information when it comes to responding to his enquiry (either directly from your email account, or from his contact profile). The reply is also logged to his profile, and your team can view when he opens the email.

As we mentioned earlier, this crucial contact information ties in directly with your email marketing efforts. So, when there are changes to tax laws, and your marketing team send an email out to all potential taxation clients, Sam is already included – without the need for any manual intervention.

When Sam visits the website again, the relevant member of your team is notified, so they can reach out, and his status in HubSpot is updated to being a warm lead – all without the touch of a button.

Amazing hey?!

HubSpot’s website grader tool

Most successful business owners understand but might not actually understand how it is performing. HubSpot’s Website Grader tool analyses your site across key areas such as SEO, page speed, mobile optimisation.

I bet you’re thinking “great, it’s one thing to tell me what’s not working… but how do I fix it?”.

Well, this tool not only provides a clear and easy to interpret report on the areas of strength and those which need a little help, it also gives you specific actions to take to boost your site performance.

Phew, your whistle-stop tour of HubSpot is complete!

As you can see, HubSpot’s marketing software provides many tools to create, distribute, track and analyse your marketing assets and activities, as well as helping you to demonstrate the best possible customer service experience.

Now, are these tools available elsewhere? Sure!

But the real advantage of HubSpot is that it provides marketing, CRM, sales, and customer service tools all in the one place.

By providing a single source of truth, it supports collaboration and transparency, while giving access to the reporting data you need to make informed decisions. It truly is the one-two punch your business needs!
