The Marketing GP is a marketing and communications agency based in the heart of Carrodise, i.e. Carrington in Newcastle. Our team has grown significantly over the past few years. And it continues to grow rapidly as we help more and more businesses with their branding, communications and marketing needs.

Digital Ads Specialist

Are you skilled and experienced in Google Ad & Meta campaigns and looking to take your career to the next level?

The Marketing GP has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Digital Ads Specialist to join the team. 
Reporting to the Head of Marketing Strategy you will be working across all facets of campaigns, from the initial ‘big idea’ to strategy development, implementation, and mid-campaign updates and close of campaign reporting.
You will utilise your experience in setting up, managing, and reporting on Meta and Google Ads, as well as your interest in expanding or using your current skillset for YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, SnapChat and Pinterest ads. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to be involved from the creative, strategy process through to implementation and reporting. You will draw upon your analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop logic-driven and solutions focused outcomes for our clients.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Recent demonstrated experience in setting up, managing and optimising Good and Meta Ads. 
  • 5+ years of general marketing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to write for a variety of mediums and purposes
  • The ability to interpret data into insights, communicating the findings to clients in a non-technical way to ensure understanding
  • The ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising and re-prioritising tasks as you go.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and learning
  • A team player who is willing to work collaboratively 
  • In-depth working knowledge of digital ad platforms, set up and ongoing ad management, coupled with a focus on driving results for our clients.
  • Experience coming up with “big ideas”, as well as a proven track record of developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
  • a solution-driven focus with a solid understanding of digital trends and technologies ensure the best outcomes for clients 
Knowledge and experience of GA4 and Google Tag Manager will also be looked upon favourably.
This role will be structured for the right person but is intended to be permanent part-time, 14-21 hours a week. But depending on the successful candidate’s additional skillsets can be a full time role.

Marketing Coordinator

Is marketing your jam? Are you a general practitioner who wants to be able to use their broad range of skills, each and every day?

 

The Marketing GP has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join the team. 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing Strategy you will work across all facets of marketing, from the initial development of the marketing strategy, through to its implementation. We are a true team, so you would be working closely with other members of our team.

To be successful in this role, it is essential you are highly organised, with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising and re-prioritising tasks as you go.

But most of all we want to find someone who demonstrates an eagerness to learn and grow within the role – asking questions along the way as you continue to build your marketing knowledge.

Whilst we embrace specialists in our team, this role really is focused on the full scope of marketing for our clients. This is where the idea of a general practitioner (ie the “GP” in our name) comes from!

You need to understand how all the different elements of marketing are used to ensure planned outcomes can be achieved. If you are a whizz with words it would be looked upon favourably, as copywriting and content is at the centre of everything we do.

We are all about continuous improvement, so we don’t want you to have tunnel vision and just do what you’re told, without question. We need you to think outside the box and be solutions driven. You need to be an independent thinker and confident communicator, who works well within a collaborative team environment. That’s how we do our best work for our clients.

Working within a marketing agency that takes pride in our solid reputation, it is vital that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the confidence to handle a client-facing role.

The successful candidate would predominantly work from our office in Carrington, however we are open to flexible work arrangements once you are onboarded.

This role will be structured for the right person and is intended to be permanent, based on a 30-38 hour week but are willing to consider other candidates who meet the brief!
