The role

The Marketing GP is currently seeking a highly motivated and creative Graphic Design Intern to join our team for a 6-week internship (1 day of placement each week).

At The Marketing GP we are passionate about supporting people who are soon to kick off their career. Our Internship Program gives you the opportunity to work with a team of graphic designers, marketing generalists, and other specialists on a range of marketing tactics. You can learn from professionals in the industry, work with clients from a range of industries, and try your hand at a number of graphic design tools to gain further experience and skills.

As the Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

Gain a greater understanding of working to client requirements
Exposure to client brand guidelines and adherence to brand standards
Utilise a range of graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and stock libraries
Learn about working within a project management system, working within timeframes and file management
Create graphic elements for use on various digital platforms – including social media, website forms, EDMs for review and feedback from the Brand & Creative Specialist
Drafting promotional collateral for print – such as flyers, banners, car signage etc for review and feedback.

To be considered for this internship you must be:

Currently completing a Diploma of Graphic Design (TAFE) or Bachelor of Visual Communication Design (3rd Year student)
Committed to completing a 1 day a week internship, taking on feedback and seeking guidance and support when required.
Able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team with a positive learning attitude
Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in graphic design tools – such as Canva, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign).
