Three Hunter region organisations come together for a coffee collaboration like no other

Celebrating a decade of The Marketing GP with The NewyWay

When it came to marking our ten-year anniversary in 2022, we knew we had to go all out with our celebration. Let’s face it, we’re certainly not afraid to take things to the next level when it comes to a celebration.

But we didn’t want to blow out the birthday candles alone. We wanted to do something that gave back to a community that had given us so much. The Hunter region, where we are based. And we wanted to make an impact. To do something with our anniversary that had meaning, helped someone, and made a difference.

From there, our team brewed on a few ideas over a cup of coffee or two, or six, and came up with the brilliant idea to create our own. All for a cause we are passionate about.

We introduced The NewyWay

Everyone has their own ritualistic way of starting the day. For most of us in the team, that included a good cup of coffee!

A coffee collaboration was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary and do good for the local community.

Peaberrys Coffee Roasters is located in Wickham – a mere five-minute drive from our Carrington HQ. When we reached out to owner, Adrian Rigon about a potential collaboration and explained our idea, he was thrilled to work on this unique and exciting project with us.

We worked closely with the Peaberrys team to take what is great about our region, and basically put it into a cup.

“Working alongside The Marketing GP team, we tested and tweaked the coffee with care to roast a delicious blend that could be enjoyed with your favourite milk product,” Adrian said.

We’ve sought coffee beans from Brazil, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea – keeping quality at the core of this blend.”

To us, what we heard was that it would taste good. And it would do good for the community. Tick and tick!

Supporting an organisation that is working to outsmart cancer today and for generations

The NewyWay blend wasn’t just a bag of beans that tasted ridiculously good and packed a punch for a particularly powerful day. Although, did we even need more?

We thought we did! We knew an organisation that was born locally over three decades ago, and continues doing amazing things worldwide to help people and their families impacted by cancer.

TROG Cancer Research has long been a client of ours and is a trusted and respected cause in the community. TROG works collaboratively with innovative minds around the world to find breakthroughs in cancer treatments using radiation therapy.

The organisation operates off a clinical trial model and in 2022 they were celebrating their own milestone the recruitment of their 15,000th trial participant!

Sharing a common value of making a difference, we believed that TROG was the perfect fit for our coffee collaboration celebration. With this in mind, we donated a portion of the proceeds from every purchase of coffee to be used in vital cancer research.

TROG Cancer Research CEO, Susan Goode said when we reached out to be a charity partner, they were blown away by the generosity.

“We’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with The Marketing GP professionally for a few years now, and it’s been wonderful to collaborate for a greater cause and celebrate our big wins together,” Susan said.

“This opportunity presented by The Marketing GP has allowed us to share our message and continue conducting life-changing research and trials around the world.”

So, what was the next step? Bag a bag of beans!

The coffee collaboration was the perfect way to celebrate by blowing out those sparkly candles.

Not only did it promise a good time for their tastebuds and their morning, but also a way to start the day doing good for someone else too.

We were so pleased to be able to promote the collaboration across the year, and were thrilled by the support of our clients and friends to buy a bag.
