With almost two decades of hands-on experience in marketing, our Managing Director & Chief Marketer, Holly Martin, has worked with an amazing variety of businesses. Marketing is an entirely transferable skill – which is what led her to launch The Marketing GP. It was the perfect way to work with a range of businesses and create practical AND exciting marketing approaches.
Holly’s strengths lie in her ability to see the entire playing field for our many clients. She’s had the pleasure of working with both B2B and B2C businesses, government organisations, family-run businesses, local, national and international brands. Her portfolio spans so many different sectors that it would take forever to list them!
Holly has a formal education consisting of a Bachelor of Communication and a Master of Marketing from the University of Newcastle. She’s also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors!
Because we don’t specialise in one area of marketing, our clients know that our recommendations are unbiased. Our expertise is based on our deep understanding of marketing theory and the range of marketing tools available to them. I am able to provide insight into not only marketing strategy, but also the lay of the land for the sector and geographic location of our clients.
In addition to working with our clients I am also often called upon to present at events and conferences. This is something I get nervous about prior to (which people who know me don’t believe!) but also thoroughly enjoy doing.
Whilst our team works on a number of different podcasts, Holly is also the host of some as well! She’s a dynamo behind the microphone, and is skilled at making interviewees feel comfortable enough to open up in the interview.
For a number of years, she has been the interviewer for the Hunter Headline series, and chats with leaders, young guns, entrepreneurs and diversity champions.Â
The Marketing GP operates on the lands of the Awabakal people. We pay our deepest respects to the Awabakal Elders past, present, and emerging, honouring their living connection to the land, waters, and sky. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We acknowledge that we benefit from living and working on these lands.
This land is Aboriginal land, always was, is, and always will be.
