Reading Time: 3 minutes

As a busy business owner, we bet you often wonder how to repurpose your content so that you get the most out of your content creation strategy.

Creating content is likely to fall to the bottom of your to do list on a regular basis. And hey, we get it! We are all about making your life easier so…

What if we told you that there was a way to get even more out of the content you’re already creating?

Repurposing content is one of the quickest ways to make maximum impact with limited time. You’re going to favourite this blog – it’s about to revolutionise your marketing.

What does it mean to repurpose your content?

Repurposing content simply means taking one piece of content and adapting it for use on another platform. This can be done in many ways, such as adapting a blog post into a video, infographic, or even a podcast.

By repurposing content, you, as a business owner, can make the most out of your investment and reach a wider audience.

Not only that, but repurposed content can also be used to target different buyer personas at different stages of the buyer’s journey. What a bonus!

Our top tips for repurposing content

Take inventory of the content you already have.

This could include blog posts, articles, white papers, infographics, images, videos, etc. Anything that you’ve created that could be repurposed for another platform should be added to your inventory.

If you don’t have much existing content, don’t worry—you can always create new content with the intention of repurposing it later on.

Think about where to put it.

Once you have a good idea of the content you have to work with, start thinking about which platforms would be most appropriate for each piece of content.

For example, blog posts can easily be turned into social media posts or even short video scripts. Infographics can be used as the basis for blog posts or social media posts. And videos can be transcribed and turned into blog posts or articles.

It’s time to start creating!

If you’re repurposing an existing piece of content, make sure to tailor it specifically for the platform you’re using. For example, if you’re turning a blog post into a series of social media posts, make sure to break the blog post down into smaller chunks that will be easy for people to digest on social media.

If you’re creating new content with the intention of repurposing it later on, make sure to keep the different platforms in mind as you’re creating so that you can tailor your content accordingly.

Last but not least, don't forget to promote your content!

Just because you’ve created great content doesn’t mean that people will automatically see it. Make sure that your target audience knows that it exists and knows where to find it.

Promote your content across all of your channels—social media, email marketing, paid advertising, etc. to ensure that as many people see it as possible. Don’t let your hard work go to waste.

As you can see, there are endless possibilities when it comes to repurposing your content. And the best part? It doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming—a little creativity goes a long way!
